Linwood City Councilman and Director of Operations for Stockton College’s Carnegie Library Center Alex Marino announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for Atlantic County Freeholder today.
There are two seats that are up for grabs in November 2011′s election. Those 2 seats are held by Democrats Alisa Cooper and Jim Schroeder.
Mr. Marino’s announcement comes on the same day that EHT Committeeman John Carmen also announced his candidacy for Freeholder At-Large.

Posted by Toni Macrie alumni '97 & '98 | September 12, 2011, 9:17 pmI received a mailing today about Mr Marino’s candidacy. It was a reprint of an article from the Boardwalk Journal. In the question and answer format Mr Marino cites two quotes from Mark Twain and Abraham Lincoln. Interestingly the respective quotes cannot be attributed to either Twain or Lincoln. As a conservative I like our candidates to be intelligent. Mr Marino despite the self-congratulatory tone he conveys in the interview is clearly not very bright.
