This was the key point for Republicans on Monday. There was a failure for the Republican ticket, with the exception of Freeholder At-Large candidate Joe McDevitt, to address the questions that were posed to them by Liberty and Prosperity, the group hosting the event.
Senator Asselta was all fire and brimstone. He was fire and brimstone, speaking without a microphone, even when proudly proclaiming that he did not yet have a position on the open space ballot question.
The Democrats are certainly for raising taxes to selectively kick-back property tax relief to selected constituent demographics. Republicans like Asselta might be for the government bonding to purchase open space and he might be against. That is the type of strong leadership being proposed by Republican District 1 Senate candidate Nick Asselta. Is that what Mr. Levinson meant by the title quotation?
