Press of Atlantic City Daily 50% More Expensive

   Coastal Broadcasting News announces:

Monday, November 3, 2008

The major regional newspaper for the area, The Press of Atlantic City, has officially upped its daily price from 50 cents to 75 cents for newsstand purchases. This marks the first change in the newsstand price in over 14 years. The Sunday price for The Press will remain unchanged. The newspaper blamed tough economic times and increased cost of distribution for the increase in the newsstand price.

About Jesse O. Kurtz

I am committed to fulfilling the promise of Atlantic City. The town would benefit from greater political participation by average citizens. Hopefully, some of the posts herein will encourage you to get more involved in your community. This blog will also feature other topics and subjects beyond Atlantic City. I hope that you will come to love Atlantic City as much, or more than I do.

  1. 75 cents for that piece of crap?! You can buy a USA Today or a NY Times for that price! It’s not like the local stories by the Pleasantville Press is worth it! You get better info on the net! I stopped subscribing years ago.

  2. Dave202, where else can you blow through 75 cents in less than 90 seconds? Its a great value. Plus, they may soon do a follow-up story on the Steven Young black power arrest. Did he lose his job? No. Will he be promoted in a Langford administration? Find out as soon as the Press reports on the best place to get bean pie on the Avenue.

  4. The people who don’t buy the paper have no idea what a computer does or dosn’t do. I hate to break it to you boys, but not everyone has a computer or half the ones that do, don’t read these blogs. LOL
